We are a family in Taiwan. Our son is, as far as we know, the only diagnosed SMARD1 (Spinal Muscular Atrophy with Respiratory Distress) patient in the country.

SMARD1 affects fewer than 60 known families worldwide. If your family is one of them — wherever you are — we would like to hear from you. Finding each other is the whole point of this site.
